New Addiction

So ever since we got married, I have been borderline obsessed with decorating our apartment.  I'm having so much fun! I borrowed tons of Blake's mom's Better Homes and Gardens magazines and I read them like crazy.  I have all the pages memorized of the things that I love.  I have so many fun ideas but everything is so dang expensive.

It's also hard to want to spend money decorating an apartment when you don't know how long you'll be living there for sure.  But I'm still getting tons of ideas on what I want to do in the future.  Oh and don't worry, if i ever end up doing anything cool I'll post pictures, whether or not anyone cares..

My computer is still gay and won't let me post any pictures, but I'm working on it.  This was a post about nothing but I'm really trying to start to use my blog more and if that means posting about nothing then so be it.

P.S Go Cougars!!! Blake and I are still debating about that elbow Henderson threw in the fourth quarter.  Blake thinks he didn't actually mean to hit Emery, he was just moving his arm in a sort of violent "get away from me" motion... I, on the other hand, think he for sure meant to hit him, he just didn't mean for it to be in right in front of the camera and have Emery act as dramatic about it as he did.  I think he meant it to be more discreet.. either way Emery looked like he was starting to get bruising by his eye at the end of the game and we killed Utah which is the only thing that really matters.

Oh and happy birthday yesterday Honey (my grandma) Tom (Blake's brother) and Grandpa Tom!!! (Blake's grandpa).

State of the Union

Blake and I didn't get to watch the State of the Union Address yet because we were at work and school so now we finally got to sit down and watch it

My first thought?  Seeing Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Joe Biden all together on my TV screen makes me feel the opposite of "hope"...

Oh and good job America, we got change alright.

MITT 2012!!

Favorite line so far "Let's use common sense!" great idea, Mr. President! Let's start by ending the discussion on Health Care Reform.

"We were sent here to serve our citizens, not our ambitions"

so do it.

My dumb computer and Haiti

I am beyond frustrated! My computer has had way too many problems in the past and now I get to experience another one.  I cannot upload pictures from my iphoto! Every time I try my computer freezes.  It is driving me crazy! Because of this I can't put up any pictures of seeing Tom at the airport or his homecoming yet.  As soon as I get this problem fixed I'll blog about that.

On to things that don't require pictures... My sweet blog friend Chloe posted a few days ago about her friends Brittany and Grant who are taking a trip to Haiti to bring supplies and help in any way they can.  They told us they will be doing a lot of dressing wounds and caring for the injured people.

They need to fill 8 bags full of supplies to take down there.  Blake and I had been talking about ways to contribute or how to help and when we read about them, we went to Costco and picked up some things.  It was so easy and such a good way to contribute.  They mainly need:

Costco sized ibuprofin
Costco sized advil
Prenatal Vitamins
Children's Vitamins
and Powdered baby formula.

The baby formula is what they need the most of.  Costco is the best way to go for most of this stuff because you can buy huge sizes.  Brittany and Grant have a giant bag on their front door that you can just drop the stuff off in if they're not home.  You can find their blog here.  Brittany listed their phone numbers so you can call to get their address.  They live in Orem.  They are leaving Thursday so they need everything by tomorrow!

It was kind of discouraging to think about all the people who have died, all the children who are left as orphans, all the destruction, devastation, pain, and suffering that is taking place there and then look at our little boxes of baby formula, vitamins, and pills and really think they're going to help, but I know that every little bit makes a difference and I think about the people who will receive them and I pray that it can help, even if it's in a very small way.

Bear Gryllis?

What the heck Bear Gryllis? You are psycho! Blake always watches your show and I always sit in horror/amazement as you survive every possible situation, and eat every possible disgusting thing in order to survive.

To be honest, all I really think about when I watch Man vs. Wild is how much I hope he doesn't have a wife, because she would have probably already died of worry years ago.  Oh and what the heck camera man? Are you as good of a survival-ist (?) as Bear? Or is he constantly rescuing you from situations as he's wrestling an alligator in one hand making a fire with palm tree leaves and reeds in the other? It blows my mind.

P.S who can help me figure out how to make pictures really big on my blog? And how to make them bigger when you click on them? AND how to make the header picture bigger? P.P.S all this blog is good for is giving me a semi-reason to procrastinate homework.
